An out of focus on purpose peaceful sunset image made at Long Beach, Washington. A calming scene filled with the colors near the sea, the gray of the sand, the blue and green of the sea water, the orange, pink and yellow of the bokeh sunset. One can detect ripples on the water near the foreground, waves in the distance and the sun sitting on the edge of the western horizon. I made this image at the Pacific Ocean in Long Beach, Washington with my medium format film camera. A warm, calming summer vacation at the beach seascape.
