Firemen exit the building of the Deposits and Loans Fund after Greek police arrested a pensioner who had threatened to set himself on fire inside the state finance office , on November 22, 2012 in the northern city of Thessaloniki. Police and firemen broke into an office where the man was holed up for around two hours after turning up with a flare gun and a can of petrol which he poured over himself. The man is thought to be a 62-year-old who a decade ago was implicated in a fraud case involving slot machines and who was protesting the state's seizure of some of his assets.
