Stall Holders Brave The Extreme Cold To Sell Food On The Wintry Roads Of Siberia

Izil works as a dispatcher on a small arport in his village of Topkinbashevo during summers, and when navigation stops, he moves to his small shack to sell goods. Local people live in this 'winter' community to sell goods, such as berries, meat and fish, they have caught or gathered, to people driving north to the remote northern areas. They live in these shacks until the winter road becomes impassable. The road, built every winter by pouring water on the surface of the swamps to freeze it, connects the 'main land' area to the remote northern areas across the swamps of Zabolotie.
