BANGKOK, THAILAND - 2013/08/29: A plane flies above electric wires and houses on its descent to Suvarnabhumi Bangkok airport. One of the busiest airports in the world, Suvarnabhumi Bangkok airport has handled 53 millions passengers in 2012 (an average of 145,000 per day) as well as 1.3 million tons of cargo. The airport, with its two parallel runaways, 132 metres control tower and large terminal, opened in 2006. Due to traffic saturation - the official capacity is 45 million passengers per year -, Thai transport authorities are pushing for an extension plan which should be completed by 2017..
