Police officers stand guard outside the Croatian Central Bank as holders of Swiss franc mortgages and their supporters take part in a march in downtown Zagreb to protest government's and the central bank's failure to find a lasting solution for their issue and calling for resignation of the Central Bank's governor. Up to 5.000 angry foreign currency mortgage holders marched in Croatia while other protests took place in neighbouring countries such as Bosnia, Serbia and Slovenia. Switzerland's central bank in January 2015 ended a three-year bid to artificially hold down the franc's value.
