Anti-Terror Intervention In Varl Was False Alarm

RAHDEN, GERMANY - NOVEMBER 24: Police stand at an intersection in the village of Varl following an anti-terror operation on November 24, 2015 near Rahden, Germany. Following a phone call from a local woman German SEK police special forces detained a man in the parking lot of a supermarket, though the man was later released. According to a police spokesman Varl houses approximately 100 asylum-seekers and the local woman who alerted police mistook one of them for Salah Abdeslam, one of the men who took part in the recent Paris terror attacks and who is on the run. Europe remains on high alert following the attacks and Germany too is on edge following what apparently was a thwarted attack recently in Hanover ahead of the Germany vs. Holland football match.
