Sammy Attard, left, and Kathleen Maynard are arm and arm as they picket the Vons market at Thompson and Borchard in Ventura. Picketers from from the Tri–County Labor Council gathered with strikers from Vons, Albertsons and Ralphs markets and drove from market to market in Ventura and Oxnard today. At each market, about 50 picketers gathered in a noisy picket line that lasted about an hour before the group gathered up and moved to another market.
