Veeck, employed last 14th months by Wrigley to study Los Angeles and San Francisco as possible future Major League sites, resigned from that job after announcing that a workable plan has been completed to bring Big League baseball to the West Coast. Veeck said it is now up to one or both Major Leagues to take the next step and include both cities in their near future plans.
