Traditional Incandescent Light Bulbs Still Widely Used In China

Traditional incandescent light bulbs are still widely used and produced in China as a global campaign has been launched to promote the use of energy-saving bulbs. Australia intends to phase out incandescent light bulbs and replace them with more energy-efficient compact fluorescent bulbs within three years, the country's environment minister said. The European Lamp Companies Federation made a statement that they will push European consumers to switch to energy-saving bulbs in a bid to cut carbon dioxide emissions that are believed to contribute to global warming, according to reports.
