Frederick II, The Great (1712-1786), King of Prussia from 1740, at the Battle of Rossbach, 1757. The Battle of Rossbach was an engagement fought in Prussian Saxony in November 1757 during the Seven Years War (1756-1763). The Prussian army under Frederick defeated a French army twice its size.
