(Original Caption) Italian author Pepi Lenzi and Mexican actress Maria Felix, dressed as Italian cyclist Fausto Coppi and his girlfriend, "The White Lady," were among some 600 international socialites at a party given by New Yorker Earl Blackwell as a highlight of the Venice Film Festival. Arriving by gondola at a waterfront night spot, the guests partied until 6:00 A.M. the next day. The withdrawal of the Motion Picture Association of America as a co-sponsor and the refusal of Venice authorities to permit use of the Vendramin-Calergi Palace failed to dampen the festivities.
