TIKRIT, IRAQ: Two US soldiers from Charlie Company, 1-22, 4ID lay low as they briefly pause during a dismounted patrol in the streets of downtown Tikrit, north of Baghdad, 10 November 2003. The soldiers patrol the city daily in search for bombing materials and people that use them to carry out attacks against coalition forces. Over the weekend, the US-led coalition called in air strikes around Fallujah, a bastion of resistance, and deposed dictator Saddam Hussein's hometown of Tikrit, marking the first such bombardments since the six-week springtime war.
