House Energy and Commerce Committee Chairman Greg Walden of Oregon says he suspects that everyone at a hearing on doping by athletes that the Olympic Games on the international hallmark of sport, noting drug abuse to seek advantage by athletes throughout the 20th century, that international predatory bodies are a hodgepodge, questioning how the quagmire of cheating it not been detected and punished, noting that personal financial motivations are deniable and the opportunities of scientific innovation tempting.
