Ann Curry reports live on-camera from Santiago, Chile and points out a damaged building behind her, says the city of Concepcion is considered ground zero, says this is one of the strongest earthquakes ever recorded, says a tsunami which followed the quake wiped towns and villages off the map, says supermarket looters were met with tear gas by the police, describes what is meant by the earthquake being a "mega thrust earthquake," and says because the epicenter was 21 miles below ground and offshore the devastation wasn't as bad as it could have been. Goodeve says it's a gift to be with his cast again, says his favorite moments were scenes filmed with Van Patten because they would make each other laugh, and says the show seems so innocent now but was cutting edge for its time. Buckley says it's been a while since she's been with the cast, says it was bumpy when she joined the show in Season 2 but things calmed down by Season 3, says people couldn?t figure out if they were a comedy or a drama, says drug use on the set wasn?t apparent, and says the show told sensitive truths and was very realistic. Walters says the younger actors (Aames and Rich) had an enormous responsibility with the show, says Aames was very serious, and says she wasn't aware of drug use on the set. Needham says the show's set was a lot of fun, recalls Van Patten telling the cast one day when they were grumpy filming a scene that they would miss it when it's taken away from them, and says she does miss it. Aames says he laughs more now than when he did the show, says that being in Los Angeles in the 1970's he had access to more drugs than he would have in New York or Chicago, and says drug use on the set wasn't as big a deal as some people make it out to be.
