Kibera slum, Nairobi

Residents go about their business watched over by an armed soldier inside Kibera Slum, Nairobi. Considered to be the largest slum in Africa with a population close to 1 million people. The living conditions in it are considered of extreme poverty with most housholds having no runing water or sanitation.
