KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA - 2022/08/13: Malaysian Chinese people burn a giant paper statue of the Chinese deity "Da Shi Ye" or "Guardian God of Ghosts" during the Chinese Hungry Ghost Festival. According to Taoist and Buddhist beliefs, the seventh month of the Chinese Lunar calendar includes the Hungry Ghost Festival, when the Gates of Hell open to let out spirits who wander the land of the living looking for food.
