Opposition protesters in Georgia set up tents outside parliament over election results (2)

TBILISI, GEORGIA - NOV. 24: Opposition parties and their supporters in Georgia have set up tents outside the parliament building in Tbilisi on Sunday (Nov. 24) contesting the results of October's parliamentary elections. Members of opposition parties rejecting the results of the October 26 elections, which declared the ruling Georgian Dream party the winner, gathered late at night in Tbilisi's Republic Square. The demonstrators marched down Shota Rustaveli Avenue, carrying Georgian, European Union (EU) and other national flags and chanting anti-government slogans. On reaching the parliament building, the demonstrators blocked the road in front of the building and set up tents. Addressing the crowd, opposition leaders accused the government of electoral fraud and reiterated their demand for new elections. The protesters, who planned to remain in front of the parliament until the morning, said they would demonstrate against the first session of the newly elected parliament scheduled for Sunday.
