Colleen on the ice does the layback. Everything happened on the 5th June for the Australian women's Ice Skater Champion, Colleen Jamieson, it was her 16th birthday and also it was the day her appendix came out. Colleen's doctor told her not to skate for at least 8 weeks or until he said it was okay for her to go on the ice again. Colleen had to miss the N.S.W. Championships and also her daily practise from 6 am to 1pm, this set her back for the Australian Championships to be held in Melbourne in August this year, where skaters have to compete so that they can be chosen for the World Championships to be held in Canada next year.
