KAWAGUCHI, SAITAMA PREFECTURE, JAPAN - 2023/10/14: Former Tanaka Family Residence Garden has been designated as an Important Cultural Property by the national government. Besides the Western-style mansion from the Taisho period, there is a Japanese strolling garden with a teahouse. The Japanese-style building was built in the sukiya-style shoin style with a 14 tatami parlor from which you can view the Japanese garden. The entire garden as seen today was created relatively recently in 1973. The dry landscape garden, pond garden, tea house and garden were created on the site of the former miso storehouse, which was the family business of the Tanaka family.
