Heavily grazed low open woodland of Mulga trees (Acacia aneura), and other shrub species, and precious little ground cover of grasses and herbs, on the edge of the Mulga Lands and sheep grazing rangelands of the Channel Country. Degraded grazing country is a common sight in the inland rangelands of Australia, where marginal land, arid climate and low commodity prices are combining to force graziers to maximise stocking rates to the lands long-term detriment.
