Holocaust survivor Dolly Hirsch Bramson, 85, poses for a picture in Mexico City on December 18, 2024. Dolly is a survivor of Nazi Germany's concentration camps. Dolly was born on July 24, 1939, in Vilna, Lithuania. Around the age of 1 to 1 1/2 years, she was deported with her parents to a labor camp in Nazi Germany, where they remained until she was 3 years old or a little older. From there they were deported to the Auschwitz concentration camp. They remained in Auschwitz until Dolly was almost 5 years old. From there they were transferred to Bergen-Belsen, Germany, and were liberated shortly thereafter. Due to health problems resulting from the war, Dolly was unable to have children. She adopted a son in 1965 and a daughter in 1969 in California, USA. Dolly's descendants are Ilana Bestandig Hirsch and Arie Bestandig Hirsch. She has a granddaughter, Elian Bestandig Hirsch, and a grandson, Ronen Bestandig Hirsch, both on her adopted daughter Ilana's side.
