WALDEN, CO., September 22, 2011- Inmate Daniel DeGoode sits inside his small prison cell and reads with the door open. He is Jackson county's only inmate in the small jail in the basement of this building. He has been incarcerated since June and probably won't get out until mid-October. He has earned privileges such as not having to wear handcuffs, has freedom to walk around the jail and the courthouse unattended.
