A woman sorts through a heap of garbage as she waits for trucks to off-load trash at the Dandora dumping site in Nairobi on December 10, 2009. The dumping site was declared full and a health hazard for the neighbouring population in 2001 but chemical, hospital, industrial, agricultural and domestic waste are still dumped here and left unprocessed. Local communities and their partners have started a campaign aimed at opening a dialogue with the institutional actors who can solve this problem. The campaign is called �Stop Dumping Death On Us. We have the Right to Live Too� and so far has gathered the support of many civil society organisations, UN agencies and prominent politicians. AFP PHOTO/SIMON MAINA.
