This is a unique rare Mangrove ecosystem on the east coast of Ko Lanta, Krabi, Thailand, where the tide rises over the trees twice daily. As the camera pans along the edge of this environment, multiple discarded pieces of plastic can be seen entangled. Plastic and marine debris pollution is an environmental issue the world over. It is a common sight throughout the world now known as one of the major threats to vast amounts of marine and bird life. Mangrove habitats contain many endangered species trees and animals and are decreasing at an alarming rate.
