Senator Johnson notes early media interest in Hunter entanglements and Ukraine before Joe Biden run for presidency

Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee Chairman Ron Johnson of Wisconsin points out at a hearing on congressional oversight and news media coverage of the FBI Crossfire Hurricane investigation that the press was interested in a conflict of interest scandal involving Hunter Biden and Ukraine back in October 2015 with a Wall Street Journal inquired of Vice President Joe Biden's office about the son Hunter being on the Burisma board, the exact same day Biden decided not to run any primary against Hillary Clinton, then in December 2019 Politico published a 20 page article on Biden Incorporated revealing an awful lot of the same types of financial foreign entanglements revealed by Senate investigations, past that point the press ignoring glaring conflict of interests Ambassador George Kent said was awkward for all policymakers trying to run an anticorruption agenda in Ukraine.
